Mr. Wooley,
I am the Better Opportunity for Single Soldiers (BOSS) Program representative
for 1BCT out of Fort Campbell, KY. I am writing to tell how grateful
we are for the delivery (here in Afghanistan) of 100 of the best apples
that my soldiers have apparently ever had! I have not stopped hearing
about how much they enjoyed them and I told them it would be my solemn
duty to get some more ordered, but not before I thanked you!
I am not sure how we fell in your good graces, but we are truly grateful
for this act of generosity. I will be placing our order in the next
few days for more apples (potentially a variety) and hopefully they
will enjoy them just the same.

Hi Josey and Jeff,
Honestly, at this time I'm
not sure how you can help. We are leaving for southern Afghanistan next
week (some of our battalion have already left) for 270 days. The chaplain
who we're replacing is operating out of a different forward operating
base with minimal supplies. He said, "that there is designated
tent for use as a chapel. It has a few benches and air conditioning."
He does not use the tent, instead he uses the dining facility because
of connivance. He finishes with, There is great potential for you to
come in and beautify the chapel and create a sacred space for your Soldiers.
I hear it's nice when the
chapel has "fun" resources and supplies. Item's like baby
wipes, beef jerky, slim jims, energy bars, sunflower seeds, peanuts,
chewing gum, batteries, personal hygiene stuff, eye wash/drops.
I hope this is helpful! Let
me know what else I can do to help this move efficiently and effectively.

To whom it may concern,
Was wondering if you’d
like to adopt me? Meaning, been in touch with the chaplain I’m
replacing and he said that my FOB has a chapel tent but needs some love.
We’re in the process of ordering resources and supplies but it
is slow moving until we get there. Our battalion is leaving next week.
Thanks.

Hello. I am SPC Christopher Collins and I am a Chaplain's Assistant
currently serving in Afghanistan. My unit, 2-377 PFAR, arrived in December
of 2011 and will be deployed for a year. The Chaplain's and my goal
is to help make the deployment a little more comfortable for the troops
(especially those in the outlying COPs who have trouble obtaining such
stuff as hygiene items). We also run a store at our home station where
people can come in and grab what they want. We aren't looking for anything
in particular but if you can help support us with whatever can be sent
it would be greatly appreciated. 2-3 boxes a month if possible. I thank
you in advance and for all that you have done for deployed Soldiers.
